American-Palestinian Teenager Released Following Nine-Month Period in Israeli Imprisonment

A American-Palestinian adolescent after completing nine months in Israeli detention without being charged was released.
The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim was 15 at the time of his arrest in February in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, during a family visit on holiday from Florida under suspicion of rock throwing against settlement residents, which he previously denied.
The US state department expressed satisfaction with Mohammed's liberation.
Currently aged sixteen, required hospitalization upon gaining freedom, according to close relatives.
According to them, he appears pale, underweight, while battling health issues contracted in captivity.
Through an official statement, Mohammed's uncle expressed the family's "overwhelming sense of relief".
Family member Zeyad Kadur said the family had been "surviving a terrible, unending nightmare" during the entire detention period.
"At this moment, we're concentrating on ensuring Mohammed receives urgent medical care necessary for his recovery following exposure to mistreatment by authorities and brutal treatment throughout his detention."
The state department stated they would maintain to extend consular services for the Ibrahim family.

Several congressional representatives submitted a formal letter to US authorities and President Donald Trump, urging greater action to release him.
Mr Ibrahim, a father-of-four operating an ice cream shop based in Tampa, had earlier stated Mohammed acknowledged allegations to throwing stones because the soldiers beat him.
He had not seen or communicated with his son since the arrest, receiving updates exclusively regarding the treatment through judicial records.
He stayed without charge in Ofer prison on the West Bank.
The facility also contains adult prisoners, some of whom have been convicted regarding severe security violations and murder.
Approximately 350 Palestinian child security detainees detained within Israeli facilities, per correctional service statistics.
Several lack formal charges along with monitoring agencies, including UN bodies, report instances of physical abuse and torture.
Following Mohammed's release, family representatives announced they would maintain their efforts demanding accountability for their family member Sayfollah Musallet.
The 20-year-old dual US citizen per medical officials was beaten to death by Israeli settlers following tensions during summer.
At the time, defense forces stated officials were investigating information regarding a civilian had died.
Mohammed and Sayfollah were employed together in the family ice cream shop in Tampa, Florida.
No indictments occurred regarding Sayfollah's death.
"We demand the American government to ensure our family's safety," the uncle stated.
