The Belarusian player concluded the season with an impressive twenty-three to three Grand Slam win-loss record.

The top-ranked player Aryna Sabalenka has been chosen the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second straight season.

The twenty-seven-year-old captured four titles – the highest tally on the circuit – which included successfully defending the US Open this past September against Amanda Anisimova to secure her fourth career Grand Slam singles championship.

A Year of Consistency

Across the season, Sabalenka reached a circuit-leading nine finals, with losses coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final at the start of the year and Coco Gauff in the French Open final.

The star player also triumphed at the Brisbane International in January, the Miami Open during the spring, and the Madrid Open in May. She remained the whole season as the top-ranked player, finishing 2025 atop the rankings for a second straight year.

This past summer, she became the first player to top 12,000 WTA ranking points since Serena Williams in 2015.

Historic Numbers

Sabalenka ended the competitive year with a 63-12 win-loss record, and earned a historic eleven million pounds in earnings.

She received almost eighty percent of the votes submitted by global tennis journalists.

Later this month, she is set to play 2022 Wimbledon runner-up Nick Kyrgios in a Battle of the Sexes-style exhibition match with the aim of "raise women's tennis to a new level".
