White House Condemns 'Democratic Fabrication' as Additional Jeffrey Epstein Images Disclosed
House Democrats have made public a additional set of what they labeled "alarming" images from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, depicting among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The opening batch of 19 images—a portion of which have been seen before—combined with another 70 issued later on Friday represent a small number of the approximately 100,000 images provided to the House investigative panel, which is probing the actions and ties of Epstein.
The fallen money manager died by apparent suicide in a New York detention cell in 2019 after being indicted on sex-trafficking charges.
Notable Figures in the Photos
Included in the notable figures seen in the first release are celebrities including film director Woody Allen; Microsoft founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin business group.
Donald Trump is pictured in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is pictured with six women, whose faces are blacked out.
White House Response
The White House reacted to the release in a statement, alleging Democrats of selectively "hand-picking" the photographs for partisan aims and to "seek to establish a false narrative."
"That partisan falsehood against President Trump has been consistently disproven," an administration official stated, maintaining that "this presidency has done more for Epstein's survivors than Democrats have ever done by frequently urging openness, releasing reams of papers, and calling for additional probes into Epstein's Democratic associates."
Congressional Democrat Comment
The photographs were disclosed without context, but per a California Democrat and ranking member of the oversight committee, they elicit additional doubts about Epstein's links with affluent people.
"The moment has come to halt this White House concealment and secure justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his powerful friends," he declared in a statement.
The publication of these images comes as the oversight committee continuing its probe into the affair.
